This trailhead was in my patrol area when I worked as a BLM ranger in Lake City for several summers back in the 1980s.  This is the trailhead for two of Colorado's "14'ers," Redcloud Peak (14,034') and Sunshine  Peak (14,001').  Along the road you can see the ghost town of Burrows Park, consisting of a few cabins which date back to the late 1800s.  This trailhead is a heck of a lot more popular now than it was back when I worked here -- and for some reason the trails seemed a lot steeper!
