This is just a few miles up the road from the Silver Creek trailhead.  It was also in my patrol area when I was a ranger here back in the 1980s.  There was a cantankerous local here who owned a little land, and a big bulldozer, here and he wanted to build a road into the BLM Wilderness Area.  Both he and the bulldozer are gone now but standing here brought back a lot of memories.
