OK, I admit it. Of the 16 extreme geographic compass points that I'm visiting in the U.S., the northeasternmost point of the U.S. is probably the least scenic. It's near the village of Grand Isle in northern Maine, just off Highway 1. The actual point is about 70 yards through the forest on the St. John River, but it's private property so this is as close as I got.
